Boston, MA—October 25, 2024— Xponential Fitness CEO Mark King has been named a keynoter at The HFA Show (formerly IHRSA), March 12-14, 2025, in Las Vegas, the Health & Fitness Association (HFA) announced today.

Prior to being hired as Xponential CEO in June, King served as president of adidas North America where he doubled market share in less than three years and tripled sales in four years. During his time as president and CEO of TaylorMade Golf, he took the company sales from $300 million to more than $1.7 billion. Most recently, as CEO of Taco Bell for five years, he led the brand to positive same-store sales growth in all but one quarter and accelerated its international growth.

In a fireside chat on March 13 with HFA President & CEO Liz Clark, which is being sponsored by Matrix Fitness, King will share his vision for transformation of the industry and the franchising model based on his past experiences.

“As part of the evolution of our annual event, we are bringing to our audience insights from experts who have successfully led companies in other industries,” Clark said. “The depth of experience that Mark possesses in driving business at big brands such as adidas North America, TaylorMade Golf, and Taco Bell before coming to Xponential gives him a unique perspective on leading change, operating in a state of constant innovation, and infusing a growth mindset into the culture of an organization.”

King will speak to transforming brands and an industry.

“I believe the key to a successful transformation hinges on conveying your vision to the people you work with and securing their buy-in on that vision,” King said. “I see the fitness industry in the midst of a transformation, and I want to contribute to that transformation by sharing my vision and working to get the buy-in of those in the room.”

King’s keynote address is one of three planned for the show, which the HFA renamed from the IHRSA Convention & Trade Show to The HFA Show as part of the rebranding of IHRSA to Health & Fitness Association.
