The Council advises the association's executive staff and Board of Directors in support of the association’s mission “to grow, promote, and protect the health and fitness industry, and help ensure the success of its members.”
Philipp Roesch-Schlanderer
EGYM
Philipp co-founded EGYM in 2010. In 2008, working out at Columbia University's somewhat dusty gym, Philipp asked himself why the whole world was changing so rapidly through IT, but gyms were still stuck at the level of the 60s and 70s. Back in Germany he began to implement his vision of the modern, digitized fitness studio.
Philipp holds degrees in business and technology management. He studied at Ludwig-Maximilian University in Munich, Columbia Business School in NYC, Aarhus University, Technical University Munich, and at the Center for Digital Technology and Management (Elite Network of Bavaria).
