IHRSA’s Fitness Training Report provides an overview and analysis of both personal and small group training users. According to the report, both personal and small group training also attract consumers from various age groups and ethnic backgrounds. Historically, personal and small group training utilization has mirrored health club members, which are typically Caucasian/White around 40 years of age. However, the IHRSA Fitness Training Report, shows unique distinctions in training participation behavior by age and ethnicity.
More than 2 out of 5 Hispanic Health Club-goers Engage in SGT
Across ethnicities, Hispanics had the highest penetration rate of small group training participation at 44.7%. Hispanic club consumers also had the penetration rate for personal training at 17.4%.
