Global Wellness Industry Valued at $5.6 Trillion
A new report from the Global Wellness Institute (GWI) finds that the wellness industry has grown more than 64% since 2013. With $5.6 trillion in revenue in 2022, GWI expects the all-encompassing wellness industry to grow an additional 57% by 2027, reports Bloomberg. The GWI’s report defines the industry as “the active pursuit of activities, choices, and lifestyles that lead to a state of holistic health.” These sectors include personal care and beauty, healthy eating, nutrition, weight loss, physical activities, public health, hospitality, and more. Consumers in North America took the top spot for spending per capita at $5,108 per year.
