BOSTON, MA—June 10, 2024—The Health & Fitness Association, a global community of industry leaders, has hired Singapore-based attorney and international industry advocate Sean Tan as the group’s senior representative in Asia.

In this position, he will help increase association and convention participation, guide the formation and expansion of regional and national federations and industry partner organizations, coordinate with other regional organizations, expand the association’s membership base, profile, and exposure, and represent the organization at a variety of public, government, and NGO events throughout the region.

“There are few health and fitness industry leaders as successful and well-known in Asia as Sean Tan. His background as an entrepreneur, thought leader, and industry advocate will well serve the association’s members and support our federation partners. He will be a valued and prominent member of our team in a region that is a hub of activity for fitness facilities of all sizes, industry organizations, equipment and technology development and production, and home to a diverse population and thriving national and regional economies,” said association President and CEO Liz Clark.

Tan is the founder and CEO of RX Health, as well as the President and Co-Founder of the Singapore Fitness Alliance. Sean is also Director, Growth & Strategy for POP Padel, and group legal advisor for Technovator International Limited (HKEx 1206). He was the chairman of the True Group, and previously worked as group legal advisor for Neon Holdings Limited (HKEx 1868) and Tongfang Kontafarma Holdings Limited (HKEx 1312). He was COO and co-founder of Football Asia. He was also on-site Legal Counsel to the Singapore team during the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Tan is a former treasurer and council member of WorldActive, and is an attorney who earned his LLB at National University of Singapore, where he was also the president of the student council. He is a board member of the charity Smile Asia.
