TIMONIUM, MD—August 4, 2023—Planet Fitness Franklin (1113 Murfreesboro Road #252, Franklin, TN, 37064) hosted a two-hour meet & greet with University of Alabama Softball Athlete and Franklin native, Jenna Johnson on July 31.

Over 200 members and nonmembers alike checked into the club to pose for pictures and get autographs from Johnson, and also enjoy free workouts and light refreshments.

“The Planet Fitness meet & greet gave me the opportunity to meet many young girls in the Franklin area who I hope to inspire to be great athletes and people,” Johnson said. “I even got to meet a girl who said she wears the #88 because she loved watching me play and that’s a moment I’ll never forget.

“I had an awesome time going back to my hometown gym that I started training at when I was 16,” Johnson added. “It was a full circle moment that I’m very appreciative of and I want to thank all the Planet Fitness staff who made this opportunity possible. They spent a lot of time and effort behind the scenes to put on a spectacular event!”

Johnson, who works out at Planet Fitness Franklin whenever she is in town, was chosen three times for SportsCenter Top 10 Plays, and selected Second Team All-SEC (2023) and SEC All-Tournament Team (2023). She’s also a two-time Tennesseean Sports Awards finalist who holds multiple single-season records at Page High School.
