HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC—January 10, 2019—Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR) is pleased to announce the hiring of its first full-time employee. As Member Services Manager, Nicole Hobson will serve more than 1,000 PPR members—and counting—with the quality and commitment expected in a subsidiary of PTR. The Nashville native has moved to Hilton Head Island where PPR Headquarters is located.
Hobson comes to PPR with a tremendous background in racquet sports, marketing, sales and management. She was the National Sales Manager for media giant Gannett, the largest newspaper publisher in the United States, and the Director of Sales and Marketing for The City paper in Nashville. In addition, Hobson served as Director of Workshop Operations for Bethesda Workshops. She serves as an Ambassador for USA Pickleball Association (USAPA), is a USAPA Certified Referee, tournament director, and a lead clinician for PPR.
In her new position as Member Services Manager for PPR, Hobson is responsible for the marketing, operations and growth of PPR from initial inquiry contact through member certification and beyond. She is tasked with developing new initiatives, organizing and conducting coaching workshops, training and overseeing a network of clinicians, ensuring the success of tournaments, and leading PPR members through the experience and benefits offered by the organization.
As a competitive tennis player, Hobson easily learned to play pickleball. She has been competing in tournaments winning medals since the 2012 USAPA National tournament.
“With her extensive background, incredible knowledge and passion for pickleball, Nicole is the ideal candidate to lead PPR’s growth through excellent service to our members,” said Dan Santorum, CEO of PPR.
