BOSTON - November 30, 2017 - International Health, Racquet & Sportsclub Association (IHRSA) and the European Observatoire of Sport and Employment (EOSE) are delighted to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two associations in London, United Kingdom during the IHRSA European Congress in October 2017.
IHRSA and EOSE Sign Memorandum of Understanding and Join Forces to Tackle the Inactivity Crisis
The International Health, Racquet & Sportsclub Association (IHRSA) and the European Observatoire of Sport and Employment (EOSE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding, which states that organizational collaboration may be one of the best ways to help solve the physical inactivity crisis.

IHRSA support the health club and fitness industry worldwide to reach its full potential while providing outreach, education and programs which help promote healthy, active lifestyle. Its worldwide outreach could contribute to the further development of EOSE.
At the same time, EOSE, as an expert organisation at the heart of the sport and physical activity sector in Europe, particularly in the area of labour market analysis, education and skills development, is well placed to support and work collaboratively with IHRSA in their ongoing development work in Europe.
By working together, the organisations can have a beneficial impact on the health clubs and fitness sector as well as the sport and physical activity sector as a whole, encouraging interaction between the two for the purpose of tackling physical inactivity and enhancing skills development.
The two organisations have initiated a trustful informal relationship since 2014 and have been exchanging on latest developments and initiatives as well as concrete challenges and priorities.
Joe Moore, president & CEO of IHRSA, and Aurélien Favre, executive director of EOSE, welcomed this agreement as an opportunity to formalise and strengthen the relationship and collaboration between the two organisations.
