GLASTONBURY, CT—September 14, 2018—Gary Kendig, Chief Operating Officer, has dedicated his career to hospitality and fitness center management in the pursuit of improving lives through service excellence and team development. He worked for 8 years as a District Manager for Town Sports International (TSI), a $500MM public company at that time with over 150 fitness centers. He became part of the Healthtrax centers in 2007 working as Chief Operating Officer for Altheus Health & Sport, which was our outsourced personal training company. While at Altheus, Gary developed a successful operating model, incorporating proven personal training technologies into the Healthtrax culture of medically-integrated fitness & wellness programming.
In 2009, Healthtrax returned to managing our personal training services in-house and Gary became our Vice President of Fitness and Personal Training. Gary continued to progress as a critical leader overseeing our Human Relations and Legal professionals in addition to growing the fitness department with improved training, employee advancement, increased PT revenues and client retention. As Chief Operating Officer, Gary will lead our efforts to strengthen our talented team and bring innovations to our 39-year-old business with a continued focus on servicing the diverse needs of members and staff alike.
