Part of ABC Fitness, the world’s biggest technology company for the fitness industry, ABC Trainerize is its dedicated platform serving personal trainers. The ABC Trainerize Best Trainer Awards 2023 recognize incredible effort, client success, and business savvy from noteworthy personal trainers and fitness businesses. The shortlisted candidates were selected by ABC Trainerize data experts based on quantitative criteria from the ABC Trainerize app.

Criteria includes number of active clients, number of workouts and habits completed, number of meal plans added by trainer and meals tracked by client, and number of messages sent. Other data points considered include variety of programming and level of client compliance; which assist in identifying high performers in the various categories.

The 2023 award winners were announced at ABC Trainerize's TZ Collective online event on December 14, 2023.

2023 Trainer of the Year: Steve Shaw of Massive Iron

There was massive competition for the premiere award, and the 2023 winner came out on top in part due to his incredible client engagement. In just one year, Massive Iron sent a staggering 85,000 messages to their clients.

2023 Studio of the Year: Fit For Golf

With over 30,000 active clients, Fit For Golf stood out from the crowd in the Studio segment. Over 157,000 workouts completed, 207,000 meals tracked, and ongoing growth since signing up for ABC Trainerize back in 2016 snagged the win.

2023 Remarkable Results with Fitness: Kris Gethin Coaching

This winner is an incredible example of making fitness accessible—their diverse programming, creative video workouts, and regular challenges keep clients engaged and motivated. Kris Gethin Coaching supported over 10,000 clients in 2023.

2023 Remarkable Results with Nutrition: Hebe Hiom Coaching

Clients at Hebe Hiom Coaching made the right food choices in 2023! With over 200,000 daily meals tracked, more than 5600 custom foods and 259 custom meals added, and 139 smart meal plans generated, this team of coaches were exemplary in supporting client nutrition to earn this recognition.

2023 Remarkable Results with Habits: Body Smart Fitness

Since 2017, Body Smart Fitness has delivered coaching services to thousands of members—with a whopping 700 active clients at present. These clients completed nearly 350,000 habits in 2023, and the team at Body Smart Fitness added 14,000 custom habits. Small actions, big results.

2023 Rising Star: Plant Forged Physique

The Rising Star award is for a business who has made incredible progress in their first year using ABC Trainerize to power their business. This year’s winner has the highest average monthly growth rate for new clients across the ABC Trainerize community! Plus, she has sent more than 9,000 messages to clients this year. Congratulations!
